All things green are up ahead! Spring is near and St Patrick’s Day is just around the corner! Crazy things happen when the craic of March 17^th gets into people and I fondly reflect on Chicago, USA in 2005 when they dyed their river green in honour of St Paddy.

And talking of Chicago, the classic song from the West End musical, “All that jazzzzz!” – launches me into this month’s focus here at the Museletter – that of love and all that

jazz! We reflect not on the tackiness of Feb and all its commercialised V-Day crap, but instead we embrace the upcoming equinox in March with all the hope of spring and love of extra daylight hours seeping into our London world!

With spring comes renewed energy with which we move into the next phase, easing us back into the outdoor world, devoid of icy winds and already with the dearest of daffodils and

 Home to one of the oldest jazz venues in the world, London boasts Ronnie Scott’s in Soho, a name synonymous with jazz which will be 50 years old next year! But for those not quite in there with the genre, we invite you to sample the sounds of the underground – the celebrated trumpet, the smokey lilting jazz voice and the venues which are home to these artists. Most jazz venues do seem to be literally underground too, take Club 606 in Chelsea for example, set in a basement, feeling rather like a secret society meeting spot. And no surprise, since it is an exclusive membership only entry club.......is limited and it will be 10 quid thereafter so as to keep out all the riff raff out. Let the battle begin…
