Text Box: inspiring music at the end of Aug – 28 & 29 at The Forum!
And lastly, a toast to Living it Live who formed in mid Sept a whole year ago and who have been adding their blend of passion and energy in bringing great bands to you over this last year!
Sue Northam, Musie Ed
Text Box: I declare a toast! To the most and the best of life! To holidays and to the tastes, flavours, sounds and smells of home! And as always – a toast to excellent music and awesome festivals.
Away from the elements to end the summer season, Toast Festivals will bring you one colossus closing memory of the summer - come rain or shine - at Kensington, Olympia over the last weekend of Sept.
Text Box: And we also raise a toast to the creation of good music – as 2 of our featured artists have debut albums - Dorp and Midnight Juggernauts. And our 3rd featured band – Supergroove – we toast for returning to the UK since reforming at the end of 2007!
And a toast to Johnny Clegg – one of South Africa’s greatest cultural ambassadors who will be in the UK with his band and blend of African soul Text Box: All things toasted and roasted – like SA afro fusion band Freshlyground who will play at Toast South Africa alongside headlining spicy boys, Just Jinjer! An entire ‘Toast’ weekend is lined up 26 -28 Sept – overflowing with local wine and wonderful tastes of home to embrace all your southern hemisphere desires! Find out who claims Pavlova as their national pud, take part in a Guinness World Record attempt of the Haka, eat biltong and braai food or get in the Sports Zone with Zinzan Brook and Dan Carter.
But back to the music – Toast Australia on Fri 26 Sept sees iconic Aussie screamer Jimmy Barnes in the hot seat. Then, sandwiched between Toast Australia and the first ever Toast SA day is Toast NZ, on Sat 27 Sept, with super band Supergoove headlining and OpShop on support. Come and Toast a little taste of home at the Toast Festivals!
